    At least it’s usually easier to cut & tighten (but oh, so frustrating) when you’re over than to pad if you’re under and have nothing else to say…

    Yes, 8 of 9. Trouble is, there’s even *less* of CH 8 than I remembered; it’s going to take the rest of today to finish it, possibly some of tomorrow. And in a quick scan over the rest of the MS, I discovered that I need to write three-ish pages of CH 2 as well; I’d left it in a single paragraph describing what I need to write and moved on because my brain was dribbling out my ears at the time and I needed a change of topic.

    Argh.

    Argh! But the light, she be at the end of the tunnel. And like Ceri said: nothing you write will ever be lost for good. You’ll be able to use a lot of it in a future book.
