Dude, OMFG. When you start scritch-scratching to accompany Phil’s nervous breakdown in the intro, it’s all I can do to keep from bursting out laughing. That’s why I started doing what I did last rehearsal, so I could focus on that instead of actually paying attention to what you two are doing.
The juxtaposition of the focused music and Phil’s increasing unhingedness throughout the intro is really quite spectacular. You guys do it so well. I love that scritch-scratching on the guitar; I hear you even got a special pick for it, Scott.
I usually find any writing virtually impossible if what I’m listening to has any words of any kind at all.
Unless it’s a movie. Which is, I know, very weird.
Zombie Chickens is barely conducive to playing music, let along writing. Getting through the intro with out breaking up is tough, just ask Tal.
