My sun salutations this morning included petting a very small black purring cat who was sitting right in front of my feet when I bent down.

I totally agree. Our little black and white one watches me with my quasi-yoga most mornings… although I rarely get a sunbeam. ::pouts::
I am also amused when I do a sequence of child/cat/cobra/corpse. Cricket wanders back and forth underneath me when I get to the cat part.
