Here we are: the first post-upgrade post!
I had to upgrade both installations in order for it all to work (the separate installation made the basics work but not the categories, while the second install remedied the category issue), but it’s working. There’s an odd ‘not found’ string of characters up there at the top of the page, and I’ll try to ferret out what’s missing and why, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting the journal or the workings of the software that powers it, so all’s well for now.
Any WP users know why this is happening? I know it’s a table in the WP database, but why it wasn’t created/updated in the upgrade, I don’t know. Insights?
I’m freezing.
Onward!
ETA: Never mind, I found out what the problem is. My owly template is based on an outdated Classic template, so I’m going to have to overhaul the theme by hand to bring it up to current specs, file by file… without any idea of what the current specs are. *faceplants on keyboard*
There’s a bunch of wonky code showing at the bottom too. FYI.
Argh. Thank you for pointing that out; I missed it. I have no idea where to begin…
Pick a new theme, and then customize the heck out of it. That’s how I’ve been playing with my blogs.
“This New Year, pick a new blog theme for the new you!”
(Okay, I’m just being silly.)
I spent a couple of hours going through WP themes last night for that very purpose! Great minds, and all that. :)
