Terry Pratchett has “a very rare form of early onset Alzheimer’s”. He stresses that there’s plenty of life and books left in him yet, but the reminder of mortality is a sobering one.

*Nod* It was the news I woke up to yesterday morning, as it was all over the UK-ian half of my LJ friends list. Very sad for him and his family, but I dare say he’ll have given us his best by the time he has to quit.
