What do you do on the first really miserable day of the winter season, when there’s an ice storm happening outside?
You make tents inside, of course.
Liam didn’t understand what to do at first; he kept trying to pull the top down to lie on it. But when he finally understood, he loved it. He keeps trying to drag everyone into it, parents and cats alike.
I happily admit that some of my best memories are of making forts and tents with anything my sisters and I, or my friends and I could get our hands on. This includes a session of New Year’s Eve babysitting with a friend of mine where we (very excitedly) built a fort for the little girl we were taking care of who thought we were insane.
Kids these days. Sheesh. :)
I and the neighbourhood kids spent summers and summers making forts in the tree lot at the end of our tiny street. I wish sometimes that I could still do it.
