Also, I made myself a little Excel spreadsheet that tells me how fast I need to be writing to finish Carnival on deadline. It’s reassuring. It reassures me that if I completely ignore the book until July 31st, I only have to write 80,000 words overnight, and I can still be on time.
I love Matociquala.
80k in one night, hmm. How about starting on the 22nd, 10k a night for 8 days and 1 day to edit! That sounds really rather reasonable, doesn’t it? I mean, really, how much could Liam bug you over 9 days? I’m sure you could be crazy productive, particularly while he naps!
And Matociquala doesn’t even have a baby! See how easy it could be?
The smart thing about her is she only works on one thing at a time. (Or possibly two.)
That’s how she gets it done, see.
My word-count-ometer post showed me how simple it would be if I would just focus on one thing.
Deciding what that one thing is, though, that’s the problem.
