For The Record

The template’s still under construction, so please bear with us. For every one thing that gets solved, there are a pile more still to be pinpointed, worked through, and a solution found.

Comment seem to be working for some people sometimes, not at all for others. No, I have no idea why it’s happening. Please keep trying, and let me know when something you try to post doesn’t appear.

The font in which the body of the entries is displayed seems to be all scrunched up for some people, not for others. I may have fixed this tonight; let me know, please! (Of course, if you’re trying to post a comment and are having issues as above, then you’ll have to e-mail me.)

I know there’s more, I just can’t think of it all at the moment. And because my computer time is limited, things aren’t going to be fixed overnight.

The font is now fixed for me, and this is a test to see if comments are as well.. The main problem I see is that the sidebar covers up the rightmost part of your header banner and this comment box, so that as I’m tying, my words actually dissapear behind it!

The font is better now for us as well. (We wondered about that!)

    As for comments, we’ll see. . .

(If this does go through: congrats on the concert and sorry we couldn’t make it; and terrific interview, I really enjoyed it!)

I unmoderated all comments. That seems to be solving difficulties for the moment.

And as for the sidebar — that’s really odd, because neither I nor the template are fixing a width; it should resize according to your browser.

My comments re your interview got lost in space, too. Also, the sidebar covers your banner, and the font looks ‘constipated’ for some reason. In case this comment comes through all right: I just wanted to congratulate you on your interview. It made me want to read your books, especially Solitary Wiccan. Now, if I can just haul my aching old bod up the stairs to Melange Magique….

The font should be fixed, Bev; hit refresh on your browser. If not, there’s nothing more I can do about how it renders on your monitor. And missing the last couple of pixels on the banner isn’t a big deal; that’s really low on the list of priorities, as it has more to do with display settings than how the template renders the banner. I’ve played around with my own display settings and even going as low as 1024×768 it displays all right in both Firefox and IE (aside from the last millimetre of the banner being covered). (I can’t test any display setting lower than that, because my monitor goes wonky.) Still not sure why the sidebar covers Jan’s comments form, though.

Thanks for the nice words about the interview, everyone!

Bev, you don’t have to drag your—what was it?—“aching bod” up Melange’s stairs. . . You can drag them up OUR stairs next time you visit. Or, better, yet, we’ll come to you with both books! We already read ’em, enjoyed ’em, and are ready to loan ’em out. . . unless, of course, you want to own your own copies!
