They weren't anywhere near as fun as toys. Couple that with the fact i had a bday and xmas right on top of one another. There were a few years that I ONLY got clothes. Damn right I'm gonna hate you for that. Thinking on it more critically (and grown up when sometimes I want/need those new clothes) I can see more reasoning for not wanting clothes. If I buy someone a shirt, unless I know for a fact that they want that particular shirt I'm assuming they'll like it. Clothes are very much an expression of who we are. If we don't really like/want it right off, we end up having an internal debate on whether or not this is who we are/what we want to be. I guess one could debate the idea of "why does this person want me to be like this..." Yes, I'm avoiding payables. I hated getting clothes as a kid. They weren’t anywhere near as fun as toys.
