If you're going to Chapters anyway, try asking for the Elizabeth Bear. At this time of year, the stores are always massively overstocked, so there just isn't enough room/time/staff to get everything out of the back. They may have it in shipping.

Then again, it may just be a computer bug. Unfortunately, it happens quite often, especially during the holidays.

We had a wonderful time, as well, and were likewise absolutely awake for way too long afterwards (and a brief blackout also kept us overstimulated).

Yes to an afternoon-to-evening gathering next year! The tricky part is scheduling things on the weekend that close to Yule/solstice. We’ll see what we can do!

Thanks for being so flexible as to locale; when the kids are older, maybe we could even do it sleepover style: put the kids to bed when they get tired, and then jam all night . . . or until the neighbors complain/we collapse with exhaustion!

Happy Yule, Merry Xmas . . . and we’ll (we hope) see you next week to ring in the New Year.
